I admit it. I have ancestor bias. Having spent an inordinately disproportionate time on my Stanwood, Bradstreet, Bursley and Day families, all early immigrants to the Massachusetts Bay Colony, I’ve most recently been tracking down the forebears of my Veland and Gravdahl Norwegian ancestors.
Other surnames and collateral lines I’m researching (including the regions in which they lived) include the following:
- Scott (Maine to Minnesota)
- Simpson (Vermont, New York, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota)
- Sisco (Candada, New York, Iowa)
- Spencer (Massachusetts to Maine)
- Thomas (Maine)
- Uphouse (Germany, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Minnesota)
- Wasgatt/ Wescott/ Westcott (New Hampshire, Maine)
- White (Maine)
